Ingredients
For the chicken
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- Salt, to taste
- 2 Tbsp mayo
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp sumac
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- Sprinkle of cayenne
- 20 cranks black pepper
For the yogurt sauce
- 2/3 cup non-fat plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tsp sumac
- 15 cranks black pepper
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- Fresh minced dill
- Salt, to taste
For the salad components
- Romaine lettuce, chopped
- Cherry tomatoes, sliced
- Cucumbers, cubed
- Feta cheese
- Pickled onions
- Pita bread
Directions
- Mix the spices with the mayo marinade. Slather on the exterior of the chicken and grill until done.
- While the chicken is cooking, prep the yogurt sauce and vegetables.
- Let the chicken cool and slice. Assemble the salad.
